Show George A. Larson Buried Here Last Monday Burial was made Monday, April 2nd, in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery of the body of George A. Larson, well known Utah educator edu-cator and native of Pleasant Grove, who died Friday at a hospital hospi-tal in Ogden. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. in the Larkin Funeral Chapel. Mr. Larson was born in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, on Dec. 5, 1880, a son of N. A. and Elizabeth Smith Larson, Lar-son, and received his schooling here, until he entered the University Univer-sity of Utah from which he graduated gradu-ated in 1904. Since then he taught school in Utah and Idaho, and for years he taught school in Ogden, where he has served a principal of the Washington Wash-ington junior high school, and of Hopkins, Grant and Pingree schools. He married Cora Pendleton in 1906 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Survivors include his widow, 1 son, Colonel Gordon P. Larson of Philadelphia, Penn.; two grands chilrden, five brothers, and one sister, sis-ter, Wallace and Earl Larson and Mrs. Thelma L. Green of American Fork; Leslie and Neil Larson of Lehi, and Allen Larson of Ogden. |
