Tbo details of this deal have not. been fully explained, but it is thought that tl)e Cedar stockholders will have 250.000 shares out of tbc million shares of stock in the new boldiug company in e.-I'hango e.-I'hango for tho old Cedar stock, while tbc Talisman will have oOO.OOO' haros for its present stockholders. Tho balance bal-ance of the now company's stock will bo held in the treasurv, and it is understood un-derstood that the dobls of the Talisman Talis-man company are to be met by tbo ucw company without necessitating another assessment for this purpose. The benetits that will accrue to the stockholders of both the old Cedar and Talisman organization is pretty well-known well-known and appreciated locally. The two mines aro located ad.ioiniug in the North Star district of Beaver county, and to develop one would moan the exploration of the other. For some time there has not boon tho best feeling existing ex-isting between the two o.ompmiios, aud the consolidation will mean wiping from tho slate all possibility of litigation with which the future seemed fraught under tbo old conditions. Tho merger, therefore, is a wio atop, aud one logically logi-cally necessary under tbc circumstances. Vfork is exp-eefd to begin very joon, it being tbo intention to sink to the oOO-foot oOO-foot level at once. |
