The above was tho decision of Judge William Hart In tho criminal court this morning in tho matter of application for ball of Col. Duncan B. Cooper, Robin G. Cooper and John S. Sharp, charged with the murder of Senator E. W. Car-mack Car-mack November 19. .Tudgo Hart took tho application undor udvlnemont on last Thursday, following several days of ovldenco. The courtroom was crowded with spectators spec-tators when the court had finished tho brief opinion. The defendants were surrounded sur-rounded by reassuring friends, who grasped their hands and said comforting comfort-ing words to t,hem. Tho defendants greeted these friends with smiles and were apparently not tho least bit cast down. Tho prisoners woro "conducted hack to Jail to await their trial on January 20. |
