What will be done with her Is a question which bids fair to being a puzzler. The woman In question Is Ella Dixon, who has run a hurd race with liquor, until the latter has won to such an extent ex-tent that she should be In a hospital instead of a jail. Several weeks ago Mrs. Dixon was arrested ar-rested for drunkenness, and at that tlmo an attempt was niado to have her taken to the county infirmary, but the county officials refused to act. Last Saturday she dop'artcd from the Jail without giving- notice no-tice of her leaving, and Matron Gifford and tho pollco officials gavo a sigh of relief, hoping that tho woman had departed de-parted for good. But no such luck. Early Monday morning-. Ellen appeared again in tho Jail corridors, and refused lie leave. The woman was locked up, but the pollco will endeavor to have her cared for by the proper authoritie?. |
