Show Two S. H. Firms Burglarized Ace Auto Supply and Sterling Sterl-ing Furniture Co. were burglarized burglar-ized recently in early morning robberies. Ace had a second call from! burglars, who stole die sets, a paint sprayer, and personal tools .of the manager, Rodney Ashton. The money was untouched. un-touched. Burglars found no money but s t o.'l e approximately - $4,000 worth of merchandise from the Sterling Furniture Co., Tuesday night, according to R. W. Mad-sen, Mad-sen, Jr. general manager, who said that no money is left in the store at night Safes and desks were thoroughly searched and safecracking tools were left in one of the offices. More than 25 radios, including flnnr anH tshlp models, electric irons, electric shavers, vacuum cleaners, and approximately 20 rugs were stolen after the burglars burg-lars entered the store through a rear window. Entrance was gained after they pried the bars of a steel window protector and broke the window. Only a small person could have climbed climb-ed through, it was noted. Sugar House police officers, E. H. Merrill and T. A. Diamond, Dia-mond, reported they made a check of the store at 2:30 a m. on a patrol of the area. Upon their return, about 3:55 a. m. they noticed the broken window win-dow at the rear of the store. Burglars made their exit through the shipping depart-! depart-! ment door. |
