Show DOING THE TOW . . . By Elaine A. Cannon Springtime is baseball time and we thought maybe some of you folks who follow the home team would be interested to know that Doug Borg, popular softball pitcher and his wife, the former Barbara Lambonrne, have had their third child as of this week. The new one was a boy. That makes two boys and a girL N'ice family, hmmmm? Speaking of well-known new parents . . . .Bob and Marge Nelson Rohlfing have just welcomed a bouncing boy into their little family. They're a foursome now. Romantic news . . . Dale Barton who lives on south Lake Street when he's in town has chosen one of Salt Lake's loveliest and socially prominent daughters as his bride-to-be. Mary More- ton is now wearing a lovely ring from Dale. She is in Xew York J studying music and Dale is just completing advanced studies at Columbia. And while we're on the subject of attractive women we've heard many a fine comment about Clare Dimond's glamorous coiffure that she sported for the first time at the Sugar House springtime Fashion Show. We delved around for the secret of her success and found that she gives full credit to Pandora Beauty Salon. . Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gerber (he's in the typesetting business, too) have a brand new baby and this time it's a girl. The Gerber home is at 5340 Cottonwood Lane. . Yesterday, Salt Lakers said goodbye to Stan and Arlene Barlow Bar-low and Stan Jr. They are on their way to Denver to make their home while Stan makes a name for himself with the General Electric Co. The Darger duo are well-known in these parts and ""i they used to live up Allen Park way. Tuesday evening there was a friendly open house in honor of the popular couple given at the home of Stan's mother, Mrs. Eva Darger. Saw Bish and Joyce Isaacson Tribe there . . . and the John Lindquists who have a brand new home out this-a-way Paul and Kay Cracroft dropped in to say "good luck." Saw Rod Egan cruising around in his brand new Flectline Chev, with young Roger as the official back seat driver. The two men were off on their own for a few hours Sunday because Mommy had to stay home with Claudia who just had her tonsils out. Just to show you how popular Sugar House is with the discriminating dis-criminating shopper, we noticed Mrs. Wilford Moyle Burton and her sister, Mrs. Boyd Erickson, and their mother, Mrs. John Boud in town doing the shops. . Small fry were tagging along to see what surprises might be in store for them. Mrs. Margaret N. Meldrum, 852 Bryan Avenue, is happy as can be on account of her daughter and husband are home for a while. Judy and John Eiche are free of army life now and are looking forward to some wonderful fun while they're home. They've been making their home in Carmel, New York. Did we tell you about newcomer in the home of J. Alan and Marian Crockett Jensen? It's a dear little dark-haired daughter daugh-ter that 4-year-old Craig can big-brother! The precious package arrived in a" local hospital Tuesday. Hear tell that the pageant the Sugar House Stake Relief Society So-ciety staged last week end was something to rave about. The doings was directed by Mrs. Ltieile Jensen. Incideritally, Mrs. Jensen is one of the most talented women in these parts. She lias more upholstery classes to teach than she can handle. Got a card from the Williamsburg Inn in historic Williamsburg, Williams-burg, Va., from Mrs. Paul L. Shields. She's having a wonderful time,' it says here. She'll be coming home soon to her home on 21st East |
