Show Intermountain Jr. Fat Stock Show Set For June 2, 3 and 4 Entries for the Intermountain Jr. Fat Show at North Salt Lake I June 2, 3 and 4, broke all existing exist-ing records, Raymond C. Wilson, Wil-son, president, announced as final entries were received this week. A total of 2, 654 animals have been entered in the show, including in-cluding 2,004 beef cattle, 271 hogs, and 379 sheep. This compared com-pared with 1,505 beef, 341 hogs and 76 lambs entered this year in Spokane,' Wash., the second greatest junior show in the world Since 19 2 2 animals brought $337,316 at Spokane, it is fair to assume that the North Salt Lake show will return in excess of a half million dollars to the young members of the 4-H clubs and FFA. In addition to sales money going to the youngsters, there are nearly $5,000 in money and merchandise awards added. I Judges Named Merrill Parkin, show manag- ' er, has named Prof. E. F. Rine-I Rine-I hart, of the University of Idaho Extension Division at Boise, as judge of single cattle. Prof. Rinehart is the dean of cattle judging in the intermountain I country. The old master has of- ficiated at the Salt Lake show-all show-all eleven years of its existance. George R. Henderson,, of the L'SAC at Logan, will be judge of the cattle groups. To judge lambs, James A. Bennett, of the USAC, has been named, while Harry H. Smith, of Farm Marketing Relations, Inc., of Denver, will judge hogs. The auction ring will be in charge of the famous Adams trio once more, with Charles E. Adams, of Los Angoles heading the list of famed auctioneers, and Wm. H. Adams, the old Utah favorite, and his son, Wm. H. Adams, Jr. The senior Adams ten years ago, sold the stock of the first junior show for $19,000. This year it is expected to bring a half million.
