Promising young scientists from southern and southwestern Utah will show off their knowledge in the Southern Utah Regional Science ' and Engineering Fair competition March 25 at Southern Utah State College. The annual science fair features winning science projects from high school and junior high students. They will compete for a number of prizes and awards including a chance to attend the National Science Fair May 12-17 in Oklahoma City. "We've had a good turnout in the past and expect even more entries this year," Joe Comp, SUSC associate professor of chemistry and fair director, said. Comp said an expected 300 participants would enter competition com-petition this year with four winners chosen to attend the Oklahoma fair. Ten major prizes will be offered of-fered by the armed forces, national companies and societies. An additional 12 trophies for first, second and third place winners in physical and biological sciences in junior and senior high divisions will be awarded.
