Show Two T-Birds named to RMAC All-acadamic basketball team L..J Ln-m 1 To be eligible, a player must be a regular on his team and maintain a grade average of 3.0 ( B) or better on a 4.0 scale. Those selected to the team will be nominated to the national Academic All-American competition com-petition sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Following are the five members mem-bers of the All-RMAC Academic team: Kelly McCabe, Ft. Lewis, a 6-4 inch junior forward with a 3.24 average. Don Krieger, Adams State, a junior 6-3 forward with a 3.06 average. FredSawaya of Adams state is a 6-8 senior center with a grade point average of 3.09. The twoT-Bird members carry the highest grade point averages on the select group. Haight has the highest average, 3.81 while Laing has a 3.51 grade point average. Laing is a senior, Haight a junior. ROBIN HAIGHT if vv if STEV E LAING Two members of the Southern Utah State College Basketball team have been named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Con-ference All-Academic team for 1975, it was announced this week by Harry B. (Doc) Kniseley, commissioner. Steve Laing, senior forward on the T-Bird squad was named for the second successive year while Robin Haight garnered the special honors for the first time. In addition to Laing, who is the top field goal percentage shooter in the conference, Fred Sawaya of Adams State, was picked for the second time. |
