Coby Leavitt scores 1200th point in Delta Contest Twelve became a memorable number for Cedar High basketball star, Coby Leavitt, at the recent Delta game as he .sunk two foul shots, tying the score at 12-12 and scoring the 12(Hi!h point of his high school career. The clock was stnxd in the .second quarter as Dr. Jerald llawley, principal, presented Coby with a Certificate of Achievement before an applauding ap-plauding crowd of spectators. Hut scoring the record-set! ing basket was only a climax to Coby's outstanding performance . as a three-year member of the Kedmen varsity team. For the past two years, Coby has been named to the All-state Basketball teams. He has scored 25 points or more in fourteen games and his high score for a single game is 37 points., In the 1974 State Tournament, Tour-nament, Leavitt was also the leading scorer of all players on the competing teams. As a senior, Coby is shooting sixty-four percent from the field. This brilliant show of talent on the court has made him one of the most proselyted prospects for college play in universities throughout the country.
