Just a short while ago a change was made in the presidency presi-dency of the fourth quorum of elders. Harry Poll was released from president of the quorum as were his two counselors. Fred Cox and Vince Nelson. Arlon Jacobs was sustained as the new president with Erwin Plowzik and Ray Dean as counselors. Mrs. Cora Winkler is a new member of the stake Primary board. She has been called to replace Marjorie Miller as chorister. chor-ister. Mrs. Virginia Day has been added to the list of Primary teachers in the ward. ' She is teaching group one. given the son of Mr. and Mrs. Berge Brown Budgell III. Mr. , and Mrs. Dean Chipman select-1 ed the name, Anne, for their little daughter and she had a grandfather and a great grandfather grand-father .standing by when she received her name. M a r 1 e n e Catherine Day, granddaughter of Mrs. Lillie Lewis, 1171 Wilmington Ave., was confirmed a member of the church. Members of the Mutual under the direction of Maurine Lees and Dick Bateman, are busily practicing their act for the road show which will be presented Nov. 11. Margaret Mauerman is recovering recov-ering at her home from a heart ailment. The Mutual is missing miss-ing her and wishes her a speedy recovery so she can be back with them, soon. Officers and teachers of the Relief Society presented Snn-day Snn-day evening services last week with Mrs. Anita Peterson and Mrs. Jean Brown as speakers. Mrs. Eva Borg, ward president, read a letter from the general board and Mrs. Verna Johnson chapel. This is part of ward conference which has been held all through the week. The stake presidency and stake officers of-ficers and teachers of all the auxiliaries aux-iliaries will attend the meeting. Sunday evening service at 5 p.m. will be the final ward conference confer-ence meeting. Tonight in the ward the ard stake missionaries are giving a party for all former stake missionaries mis-sionaries from our ward. Seventy Sev-enty invitations have been issued issu-ed and it is hoped to make this reunion a regular affair. Paul Favvson and Fred Clegg are planning this party under the direction of Herman Zobrist and A. B. Hunter. Three tiny, new babies were brought to fast meeting Sunday to be given a name and a blessing. bless-ing. Barbara was the name chosen by Mr. and Mrs. William Howard " Boosinger (Frances Huff) for their baby girl. Gerry Bryce Gudgell was the name |
