Show Out East Mill Creek Way By Frances Xeff and Mary Osguthorpe Another East Mill Creek resident res-ident has joined the ranks qf prospective bridegrooms. On Nov. 17, Rhea Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Price of Midvale, will exchange wedding vows with J. V. Barlow, a son of Mi-s. A. Bclva Barlow, 3504 23rd East. The ceremony will take place in the Crescent Ava-lon Ava-lon Ballroom, and will be followed fol-lowed by a reception for the young couple. We've just had glad' tidings from up Idaho way. Early J. Glade, Jr., a well-remembered former resident of EMC has just recently been appointed to the high council of Boise Stake. We wish you the best wishes in your new position, Earl. As we were passing by the home of 'William Jarrard this afternoon, we happened to no- tice a For Sale sign in front of the house. We didn't like the looks of it so we went in to see what it was all about. It seems that Bill has been transferred to California, and the family is going to move down there as as soon as possible. The transfer trans-fer is a promotion for Bill, and while they hate to leave Utah, it was a hard thing to turn down. They will make their home somewhere near San Francisco, Fran-cisco, where Bill's work calls them. They will leave around Dec. 1. Two East Mill Creek boys, who will be oculists in another couple of years are now in California, Cali-fornia, and Oregon in oculists' schools. Jiggs Bagley and his wife, June, are now living in Wilmington, and Jiggs is attending at-tending school in Los Angeles. We were very surprised, but pleased, to see Frank Haight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Haight, home from the navy. We didn't expect him until December, De-cember, but he said, "The navy couldn't stand it any longer so they let me come home." Frank's future plans are rather indefinite but the next few months should see him either in school or on a mission. Tonight, the second of the East Mill Creek and Evergreen Ward Dance Club series will feature fea-ture an apron and overall dance. Some clever decorations have heen planned for the newly redecorated' re-decorated' EMC Ward amuse-ment amuse-ment hall. Anyone not having the:r season's ticket, enn see Jack Clark andor wife and obtain ob-tain one. While June may be the month of brides in some places, November No-vember is the month for brides in E. M. C. The most recent bride is Emma Lou SniMh who today became the bride of AYil-liam' AYil-liam' Totter. Emma Lou is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .T. O. Smith, 3485 South 27th East; Miss Barbara Eccles attended Emma Lou as maid of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Cordon B. Hinrk- ley are announcing the arrival of their fourth child, a babv boy. He was born Thursday, Oct. 30, and both mother and son are ! doing well. |
