Show SOCIETY DOING THE TOWN . . . By Elaine A. Cannon Pheasant dinners are the talk of the town this week. Dr. and Mrs. Elvon "Bud" Jackson entertained his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Jackson, at a dinner this week. Main course was the pheasant pheas-ant Bud shot over the week end while hunting down American Fork way . . . Edwin Q. Cannon Jr. got his limit the first day out, too ... so their household will make ready for guests this week end when time to roast the fowl rolls around. Birthday celebration for Mrs. Rodney Egan . . . she and her two sisters-in-law, Mrs. W. J. Paul and Mrs. Aldon J. Anderson-had Anderson-had luncheon in town. Dorothy's husband, Rodney Egan, arrived home from pheasant hunting in time to make the day extra special spe-cial for his wife. Southeasterners hereby roll out the official welcome mat ' for a couple we're glad to include in our midst Mr. and Mrs. Angus C. Ensign are now making their home at 1877 13th East Street. Mr. Ensign, retired, was formerly superintendent of Magna Mag-na Smelter. Mrs. Ensign is a very talented artist and musician. They have a son, Ace, who lives with them in their new home. Julie Brixon Bertoch is off on a pleasure trip with her father, Martin G. Brixen. They'll motor to Phoenix, Ariz., where Mrs. Brixen and Martin Jr. are wintering. Marvin will join Julie and her family in time to make the return trip home with her. The Bertoch's daughter, four-year-old Julie, is vacationing with her aunt and uncle in Roosevelt while Mommy and Daddy take in the scenic wonders of Arizona. Lejeune and Earl Ray Dillman will take good care of her in their new home until the parents return to their adorable home on Wilson Ave. and 21st Eastj A very popular coed while on the University of Utah campus, Betty Morgan, has consented to become the bride of Geoffrey ... no name has been definitely decided as yet, but we do know that the husky weighed in at over nine pounds. Birthday was Monday. The new youug moth- er is the former Ida Marie Browning. At the polls . . . taking advantage advan-tage of their constitutional right . . . Douglas and Evelyn N. Wood. They've moved into the Stratford Ward, now, and of, course are active in various I things. Cal Woolley left one of I his youngsters in the family car while he cast his ballot just before be-fore closing time. Oh happy day for Bob and Margaret Mar-garet Cornwall Richards. They celebrated their wedding anniversary anni-versary (the first) by taking a week-end .trip to Las Vegas, Nev., and registering at one of the exclusive resorts there. Riter Cannon come Dec. 2. Betty was president of Delta Gamma and has decided to have the nuptial ceremony and reception re-ception take place at the chapter chap-ter house. Her sister, Mrs. E. W. Muir, Mrs. Joseph A. Kjar, Mrs. Earl I. Jones and Mrs. James L. Strong will be attending attend-ing matrons. Sarah McChrys-tal McChrys-tal will be bridesmaid. Rich-chard Rich-chard W. James will be best man while Earl I. Jones and Richard B. Pyke will be ushers. Betty is a daughter of the Samuel Sam-uel Morgans of Kaysville and Jeff is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Radcliffe Q. Cannon, 2561 Hills-den Hills-den Drive. He was a Beta Theta Pi member on the Ute campus and is a graduate of M I T. in Boston, Mass. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hewlett are proudly telling their friends about the new arrival in their house.
