Show Mrs. Garda Seeley Ward Conference Ward conference was held on Sunday afternoon in Sacrament meeting. The following releases were made: James Bird, bishop, and Wm. O. Larsen and Walter Remington, 1st and 2nd counselors, and J. Orie Cook, as ward clerk; Mrs. Agnes Larsen, Relief Society president, and Belle Bird and Jennie Jen-nie Goodrich, 1st and and 2nd counselors, and Loretta Murray, secretary; Mrs. Garda Seeley, president pres-ident of the YWMIA, and Zella Goodrich, activity counselor, and Merle Lisonbee, secretary; James W. Powell, president of the YMMIA, and Orland Murray, activity ac-tivity counselor, and Garth Remington Rem-ington secretary; Berneice -Atwood, president of the Primary, and Merle Lisonbee and Cl'eona Remington, Rem-ington, counselors, and LaRae Monsen, secretary; Leslie B. Goodrich, Good-rich, superintendent of the Sunday Sun-day School, and Fred Goodrich and John Goodrich, counselors, and LaRae Monsen, secretary; Gardner Goodrich, president of the Genealogy committee and Earl Murray and Roy Bird, counselors, and Jennie Goodrich, secretary. The following officers were sustained sus-tained as the new officers of the ward: Earl Murray, bishop, Orie Cook and Roy Bird, counselors, and Garth Remington, ward clerk; Berneice Atwood was chosen as - the new Relief Society president; Fontella Jenkins, the new Primary President; Leslie B. Goodrich, Genealogy president; Fred Goodrich, Good-rich, Sunday School superintendent superinten-dent and JJohn Goodrich, president presi-dent and John Goodrich, pres-Whitehead, pres-Whitehead, president of the Young Women's MIA. None of them has chosen helpers. This will be done in the next Sunday Sacrament meeting. The following stake officers were present: Hugo Mitchell, Oscar Os-car Nelson, Mrs. Alice Oman, Les Orr, Mrs. Syvella Johansen, Max Hartman, Wm. Evans, Mrs. Lois Goodrich, President Wm. Brother-son, Brother-son, President and Mrs. Leon Burton, Bur-ton, Mrs. Hazel Goodrich, Wm. O. Larsen, Mrs. Thelma Cook, Mrs. Lucile Winkler, Mrs. Laura Seeley and Mrs. Loretta Murray. Mr. and Mrs. James Bird, of Salt Lake City, 'spent the weekend here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Max Owen and family, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Goodrich and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bus Mathews and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Goodrich, all of Bonanza, Bon-anza, spent the weekend here visiting vis-iting their parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Powell, returned re-turned home on Thursday night , from a two weeks' vacation. They traveled down to Sacramento and Areata, Calif., and then up the coast into Washington, where they spent two days visiting a daughter daugh-ter and family, Ruth and Bruce Brackenbury in Tacoma. The went into Oregon and then to Idaho, where they visited another daughter. daugh-ter. Ollie and Maxine Smith and family. They enjoyed this trip with their daughter, LaVern and Stanley Gordon. Miss June Powell stayed in Sandy with her sister's children, LaVern and Stanley Gordon, while they were on their two weeks' trip. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Powell and Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell spent Saturday in Green River, where they got a load of melons. They also visited with relatives while there. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anderson, of Roosevelt, visited at the Wallace Wal-lace Seeley home on Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Winkler, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end here visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Winkler, of Provo spent the weekend here visiting vis-iting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Atwood and family and Mr. and Mrs. Max Allred joined the Ed Miles family of Mt. Emmons and other relatives of the Miles family on a picnic, at Moon Lake Sunday of last week. They report an enjoyable day of visiting and that the weather was wonderful for picnicking. Among those attending Relief Society and General Conference in Salt Lake City were Mrs. Laura Seeley, Mrs. Lois Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray, President Bernard Winkler and Wm. O. Larsen. Lar-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case, Mrs. Mary Ann Case and Mrs. Pearl Case and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Monsen of Mt. Emmons visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Gard-ner Goodrich. Other visitors at the Gardner Goodrich home were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bracken and Mrs. Ellen Bracken of Ballard. |
