Show Drivers In Utah Get Reminder On License Law Utah motorists no longer can renew their drivers licenses by mailing in the stubs from their old licenses and $1, George C. Miller, state driver license director, direc-tor, emphasized Tuesday. Mr. Miller pointed out that the 1955 Legislature passed a new law requiring that drivers pass an eye examination every five years. "This means," he said, "that when the license expires it is time for the driver to take an eye test. The eye tests are given without charge by the driver license division di-vision at the State Capitol, at the State Fairgrounds, or at branch offices of-fices or itinerant stations throughout through-out the state." Mr. Miller emphasized that the eye tests every five years also mu:' be taken by holders of "granddaddy" liceases. The new law requires that holders of these "good until revoked" licenses must pass a sight test on or before Jan. 1, 1957. |
