Show Legion Auxiliary Holds Meeting The American Legion Auxiliary meeting was held at the home of Mrs. William E. Clark Saturday night. After business was taken care of refreshments were served to Mrs. Mary Carroll, Mrs. Elaine Young, Mrs. Louise Case, Mrs. Margaret Timothy, Mrs. Helen Palm, Mrs. Lola Jones, Mrs. Louise Beardon and Mrs. Maxine Clark. Weekend guests at the homes of Mrs. Elva Snyder and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jacobson were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potts and daughters daugh-ters of Duchesne and Ted Snyder of Tooele. Mrs. Snyder went to Salt Lake City with Ted to visit relatives. Mrs. Gerald Jacobson is, taking care of the postoffice during Mrs. Snyder's absence. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beebe and son Mike of Salem, Utah, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe. Bob Lindsey and son of Mt. Home were in town on business October 2. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen and Johnny Smith of Artesia were here looking after their farm last Sunday Oct. 2. Ed is employed at Rangely on the oil line. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Saris and daughter of Wellington, Calif., arrived ar-rived October 3 to visit with his brother and family, Mr and Mrs LaVar Morris. The Relief Society started its winter lessons October 4. The Theology lesson was given by Nada Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fowler and son Donald and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Weeks and daughter Lois Lynn left for Los Angeles Oct. 4. They moved to Altonah during the summer from California, but have moved back to make their home there. Mr. and Mrs. James Weeks and family of Garfield spent the week end of Oct. 1 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks. Their two small sons, Jimmy and Mike, have been visiting their grandparents. Jimmy returned to his home while Mike stayed on for a longer visit Nick Killian of Mt. Home was in Altonah on business last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Rex Fowler who is attending the -'U' was home the past weekend. week-end. Florence Weeks, who is employed em-ployed in Salt Lake City came home with him. |
