These building projects not only pri-vided pri-vided much needed space and facilities, but enabled the separation of the Altamont School into two organizational units Elementary School and Secondary School. In addition to the school building projects, a sewage disposal field is being constructed to properlv care for the effluent from the four septic tanks located on the school grounds. The overall cost of these projects is $426,636.83 for the high school and $234,399.55 for the elementary school. Of this amount, approximately $375,000 was local revenue from the sale of bonds and the balance of about $266,000.00 came from the State Emergency School Building Fund, appropriated by the State Legislature. These two projects are the first of an extensive building program under the State Emergency Building program. Projects at Roosevelt Junior High, Roosevelt Elementary, Tabiona and Duchesne will be financed entirely by state funds. |
