Show School Prepares For Annual Fall Carnival The Myton Elementary School is making elaborate preparation for their annual Fall Carnival, which will be held in the Myton School auditorium on Hallowe'en eve. New attractions will' be added this year including a hot dog and hamburger stand for those who have to come early. Other refreshments refresh-ments will also be found for those who enjoy a snack with their fun. Mrs. Ted Thomas, who is in charge advises everyone to watch for each edition of the Standard and Record to keep in touch with the progress of the carnival. The Ladies Aid of the Presbyterian Presby-terian church held a special session ses-sion Thursday to start plans for their annual Harvest Supper to be held in early November. The afternoon af-ternoon was spent in quilting. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Church are their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Church and family, of Cameron, Cam-eron, Arizona. Mr. Church came Saturday from their home to meet his wife in Myton, as she and their children were returning home for a visit to the Middle West, so they all could enjoy a week's visit here. Mrs. Blanche Saul, mother of Mrs. Calvin Church, who came with her daughter, continued con-tinued on to her home Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil White, of Provo, were visitors Sunday at the home of Mrs. George Funk. Tommie Dyches, of Clear Creek, Carbon County, was a weekend visitor at the Funk home, as a guest of Miss Joni Funk. Tommie is a former schoolmate from Wasatch Was-atch Academy. were elected for the coming year, as follows: Mrs. Ted Thomas, superintendent sup-erintendent of Sunday School;. Mrs. Tom Gentry, secretary and treas- '. urer; board of directors, Mrs. O. A. Dart, Mrs. W. R. Harris and 1 Mrs. W. E. Burton. Announcement : was made that Sunday School classes will be held at 11 a.m. each j - Sunday at the church. |
