Show Ellen Bracken Phone 62062 Sherman L. Asay Weds Payson Girl Mr. and Mrs. Clement H. Johnson, John-son, of Payson, are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Dawn Marion, to Sherman L. Asay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay. The ceremony took place in the Salt Lake Temple on Thursday, Oct. 13. The wedding reception followed that evening in the Pay-son Pay-son West ward chapel. Sherman recently returned from a mission. Mrs. Leland Angus and daughter daugh-ter JoAnn made a rip to Salt Lake City last week. School was dismissed at noon on Thursday. The teachers spent the afternoon taking a school census. cen-sus. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Westwood and sons of Rangely spent the last weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Cook. RELIEF SOCIETY HOLDS FIRST MEETING The first Relief Society meeting was held Tuesday, Oct. 4 with Mrs. Jack Cook presenting the Theology lesson. Mrs. Faun Leavitt, one of the teachers at Alterra, was on the sick list Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Jenkins, of California, are spending a furlough with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jenkins, also at the Spencers' in Neola. Clifton is still in the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Allred and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bellon and family of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Labrum of Roosevelt were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook one day last week. The three ladies are sisters of Mrs. Cook. Miss Myrtle Collins spent last weekend in Salt Lake City attending attend-ing conference. Mrs. James Fisher, of Vernal, formerly of Alterra, is visiting two of her daughters, one in Ohio and one in Kentucky. Mrs. Jesse Hullinger and small daughters, who spent several weeks in Gilbert, Arizona at the Merrill Brimhall home, returned home last week. |
