Show 12-Year-Old Youth Victim Of Shooting Accident David Hullinger, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Hollis G. Hullinger, Hullin-ger, narrowly missed death last Friday afternoon, Oct. 14, when he was accidently shot with a .22-caliber .22-caliber rifle in the hands of a friend. The accident happened at about 5 p.m. ' According to the parents of David, he and Dillard Broderick, 13, had gone to the Hullinger farm east of Roosevelt to do a bit of rabbit hunting. Dillard reported he had fired one shot, and was in the act of raising the gun to shoot again, when it went off without warning. The slug struck David in the back, below the left shoulder, coming out slightly higher in front. Young Broderick ran nearly a mile to a farm house and telephoned telephon-ed the doctor, who in turn notified David's parents. He was taken to the Roosevelt LDS Hospital and later transferred to the LDS Hospital Hos-pital in Salt Lake. He . returned home Tuesday and barring any complications, should recover in a few days. |
