Show Injures Neck Lawrence Weeks spent a few days in the Roosevelt Hospital suffering suf-fering from a cracked vertebra in his neck, caused when he was unloading un-loading cement head gates Oct. 11. He came home Friday, but it will be some time before he will be able to go back to work. Lloyd Weeks made a trip to Salt Lake City Friday, Oct. 14th on business and to visit his bother, Jamas Weeks and family. Mrs. Lawrence Weeks and Mrs. Lester Maxfield were in Roosevelt Roose-velt visiting Mr. Weeks in the hospital, Wednesday. Mrs. Ada Davis and family, of Salt Lake City, visited Mrs. Davis' sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump, Oct. 12. Mrs. Elva Snyder returned home Oct. 12 from a 10 day visit with relatives in Salt Lake City and Springville. Her son, Albert, Snyder, Sny-der, of Springville, brought her home and stayed for a few days. Morrell Labrum, of Roosevelt, was transacting business in town Oct. 13. Wm, E. Clark left Oct. 13 for Meeker, Colo, to go elk hunting with his brother, Dee, and uncle, George Mecham. Mrs. Boyd Young and new baby daughter were able to come home from the Roosevelt Hospital, Oct. 13th. Jack Allred is now employed at Garfield. CLEAN HALL Members of the American Legion Leg-ion and Auxiliary spent Saturday, Oct. 15 cleaning the Legion hall. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fowler and son, Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Weeks and daughter, Lois Lynn, who moved to Los Angeles about two weeks ago, arrived back in Altonah Thursday, Oct. 13. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Beardon attended at-tended Teachers' Institute in Salt Lake City, Thursday and Friday. Mary Carroll and Doris Allred accompanied ac-companied them. |
