Show Finals Reported In Basin Trapshoot Meet Shooting with a high wind blowing as an unintended handicap, handi-cap, lowered the total score of the 10-team Round-Robin trap Shoot, held at the Duchesne airport air-port May 24. The clays would come sailing ; out of the trap, be caught by the wind and lofted sharply or dive to the ground. Winning team for the Roun-j Robbin was the Dead Dick Eyes, with Marvin Oldroyd, Junior Wilson, Michael Sutton, H. F. Miller and Jay Alexander, team members. Individual high score gunners receiving prizes were; Harold Alexander,' 1st, with a score of 45 out of 50 for the day's shooting. shoot-ing. He received a lovely ash tray as prize. Jim Sutton and Marvin Oldroyd tied for 2nd place and received a box of shells and a fly book, respectively. respec-tively. Club members running a concession con-cession stand in the airport building stated they ran out of food early in the afternoon. Ken Labrum and Jim Sutton tied for first in the Calcutta Handicap with the tie-off being won by Ken Labrum. Other winners in the Calcutta are not known as the sheets were not available. |
