Show MOEITWELL By Bettie Mower Eight Receive Diplomas At Union Loene Powell, Evelyn Shaw, LaRene Adams, Dawn Pace, Del-mer Del-mer Hamblin, Kay Hamblin, Ar-vin Ar-vin Hullinger and Larry Nelson received their diplomas at the high school graduation program Thursday evening at the Union High School. They also attended the Senior Breakfast and the Senior Sneak. Mr. and Mrs. Lott Powell, of Salt Lake City, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. James Powell and family. Ray Pearson, who is in the armed forces in Seattle, Wash., flew down for a three-day pass over the weekend. He and his fiance, Twila Larsen, of Bluebell, Blue-bell, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oren Pearson, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Parley Alexander. Mr. Pearson is a brother of Mrs. Alexander. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crapo and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alexander Alex-ander visited Mrs. Jerry Rich and family in Lapoint, Thursday. 9 FROM JR. HIGH FINISH COURSE Nine students received their diplomas from Roosevelt Junior High School Wednesday. They were Valeen Adams. Karen Nelson, Nel-son, Sharon Shaw, Raselee Brown, Clell Woodward, Cecil Lorranger, Lynn Hullinger, Ronald Ron-ald Hunt and Dee Adams. Mrs. Elye Reynolds and son, Howard Dee, have moved to Colorado to' join her husband, who has been working in Colorado Colo-rado for the past few months. Individual awards were given to four boys Sunday evening at Sacrament meeting. Receiving them were Delmar Hamblin, Dick Mower, Dennis Larsen and Cecil Johnson. Ted Nelson, a student at the Brigham Young University in Provo, spent the weekend at home. The ward show was held on Friday night last week instead of Thursday night because of the Union High School graduation. gradua-tion. It will again be Friday night this week, because of the district Dance Festival Thursday evening. Saturday, Montwel played Bennett in baseball here, losing the game 2 -17. |
