Show ALTAMONT ! Mrs. Grant Hansen Teachers Leave For Summer Homes The Altamont teachers who do not live hereabouts have returned re-turned to their summer homes. ' Mr. and Mrs. Kozlowski will, be in Logan, where Mr. Kozlow-1 ski will attend school at the USAC. They left last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Swallow will, be at Stadium Village in Salt Lake City while Mr. Swallow attends U of U. Mrs. Neilsen returned to her home in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Mrs. Snyder left on Sunday for Pocatello, Idaho, where her children reside. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lunt left on Thursday for Kanab, Utah. Lorin Allred expects to spend part of his summer at Tabiona and part here, working with the school bands on summer work. Mr. and Mrs. Gomm and family fam-ily returned to their ranch in Wyoming. Mr. Ferguson will go home to New Jersey. Mr. and Mrs. Oral Thacker were weekend visitors a week ago' with Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Thacker. They had their children chil-dren with them. They live in Lyman, Wyoming now. The Mt. Emmons and Altamont Alta-mont graduates last Wednesday night at Altamont were Veretta Gomm, Frances Wall, Curtis Dastrup, Kay Wall and George Chapman. Several people from here attended at-tended the graduation at Union last Thursday. Among theme were Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Mohl-man Mohl-man and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie. Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Prescott were recent Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Berrett. They were accompanied accompan-ied by their daughter, Mildred. They live in Draper, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett and family went to Union, Utah last weekend to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd, of Roosevelt, were visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Mohlman on Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Less Orr went to Salt Lake City last Saturday and Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nielson, whose son, Brett, has just undergone a tonsilectomy. Lynn Snedegar has been home on a ten-day furlough. He and his wife have been visiting relatives in different carts of the Basin. He returned to San Francisco on Monday. Mrs. Snedegar accompanied him as far as Salt Lake. He exrjects to be shipped out to the Far East shortly after his return to the coast. Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Dastruo went to get Lorraine last weekend, week-end, after her visit of two weeks at Snow College and vicinity. While there she "graduated bv proxy" for her brother. Nql. now serving in the armed forces. for-ces. Salt Lake visitors home for the graduation last Wednesday were Elvin and Bernice Boswell and Margie Nvberg. They left for Salt Lake the same evening. Farrell Mohlman went to Salt Lake on business Monday of last week. Mrs. Mohlman and chil- dren spent the two days with her folks in Roosevelt. , Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Powell, and family left last week to take up their residence in Sidney, Sid-ney, Montana, where Cloyd has been transferred in his job with an oil company. j Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman were in Vernal on business on J Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Miles and fam-; ily all met at Fay Miles' home . a week ago Sunday for dinner and a family gathering in behalf , of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Miles' 3-month-old daughter, who was operated on 2 weeks ago in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital by Dr. Hicken for a malfunction of the liver. Mr. and Mrs. John Powell, of Roosevelt, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell on Saturday evening of last week. Mrs. Max Hartman visited , with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Lemon, of Ioka, on Friday of last week. Elder Glenn Case left a week ; ago Sunday for the mission home in Salt Lake City. He was to leave there to go to his mis- sion in Western Canada on Wednesday or Thursday of this I week. I Grandma Maryann Case is spending some time in Ogden, and will go to Ht. Home, Idaho to spend the summer with some of her children there. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hartman Hart-man went to Myton Thursday of last week to spend the day with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks, j Mrs. Monks suffered a rather, bad heart attack recently. I Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Kolb were In Salt Lake City on Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Berrett entertained enter-tained Mr. and Mrs. Lunt at a farewell breakfast the day they left for Kanab. They gave the Kozlowski's a farewell luncheon on Saturday before their departure. de-parture. W. G. Neal came from Mt. Home, Idaho, to visit relatives for a week before taking his wife back home. She has been visiting with the Cases for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen spent Sunday afternoon in Arcadia Ar-cadia visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lyn Hansen and family. Myton farmers and Altamont farmers had a baseball game at Altamont Saturday afternoon. The Altamont team beat with a score of 8-4. Joan Wall celebrated her 8th birthday on Thursday of last week with a birthday party. Her guests were: Donal and Glenn Iorg, Nancy Mohlman, Gracie Kolb, Tommy Montes, and Cheri Wall. Mr. and Mrs. David Gailey and family went to' Salt Lake on Tuesday of this week to attend at-tend the wedding and reception of Mr. Gailey's brother. Farrell Gailey, who was recently discharged dis-charged from the Army. BIRTHDAY DINNER Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman and family entertained at a birthday dinner for Fletcher Hartman. Other guests were, Mrs. Bruce Hartman and family, Mrs. Chester Hartman, Mrs.. Floid Hartman and Kreen. |
