Show This Week's RECIPE . . . A delicious new fudge recipe is one you will want to make, suggests Myrtle Lambert, who submitted it this week. The recipe makes a large quantity and is one even the children could make. It never fails. In large bowl put the following; follow-ing; 1 pint marshmallow cream 1 cup chopped nuts lb. butter 3 packages Chocolate Chips (preferably Nestles) 1 tbs. vanilla Pour cooked sugar mixture over ingredients in bowl and stir until chocolate and marshmallow marsh-mallow are melted (takes just a few minutes). Pour into buttered pan and mark into squares when cool. DIVINITY (Makes large batch) 3 cups sugar cup water 3A cup Karo syrup (dark syrup sy-rup gives a good flavor) pinch of salt Boil until it cracks as it hits bottom of cup when testing in cold water. In the meantime beat three egg whites until still. Pour boiled boil-ed syrup slowly over the beaten whites, beating constantly. Add chopped nuts and 1 tsp. vanilla. Continue beating until divinity holds shape. Drop on wax paper. |
