Show Ooratisiental Oil Buys Site For S&spsr Service Unit The old J. G. Pepperd Seed Co. building located on south main street in Roosevelt was sold recently to the Continental Oil Co. by Farmers Union, who purchased the property about a year ago from Howard Harrn-ston. Harrn-ston. According to Floyd Ros. representative rep-resentative of Farmers Union, (he east portion pf the property, which at one time housed the McKinlay' Motor Co.. was not included in the sale to Continental Contin-ental Oil. The main building and two-story office annex, including in-cluding the land, was sold for $15,000. An announcement mads Wednesday by Clem Labrum. Continental Oil distributor for this area, is to the effect that the ground will be cleared of the buildings in the near future, and next spring his company will construct a super-servic station on the corner. The buildings have been sold to Johnny Cook and Steve Bel-Ion, Bel-Ion, according to Mr. Labrum. The latter plans to move the two-story building and convert it into apartments. No information informa-tion was oh'.ained as to the disposition dis-position of the material in the larger building purchased by Mr. Cook. |
