Show Union Tips Carbon With Last Half Spurt 19 Points Union High's Cougars bounded bound-ed back in the last half to overcome over-come a 13 point lead hung ii;o in the last five minutes of the first half by visiting Carbon High reserves, to win 19-13. on the local field Wednesday afternoon. af-ternoon. Still crippled with iniuries to a half dozen regulars, Coach El-den El-den Wright used his sophomores to good advantage, and one youngster, "Packy" Fenn, literally liter-ally ran the pants off the visiting vis-iting Dinosauers from Carbon County as he scored twice. This youngster has it speed and plenty of football savvy. After the half, the Cougars came back and really clicked as they stopped Carbon and scored three touchdowns and added one extra point, to win going away. Next week is the big event Union meets league-leading Mo-ab Mo-ab on the Cougars home field. And with all of the crippled Cats back in the lineup, Moab is apt to have their unbeaten record marred. The game is set for Friday, Oct. 24, at 1 p. m. |
