Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Opening Social Brings Husbands To Relief Society The Relief Society held its opening social Monday evening, Husbands of members were invited in-vited and a very enioyable evening eve-ning was spent square dancing. A program was given which included a reading by Betty Evans; a comic reading on how the new telephones will be used, Golda Jensen; song, Gladys and Barbara Ross. Pie alamode was served. The f irat regular Relief So-1 ciety meeting was held Tuesday i with President Gladys Ross in charge. . Mrs. Marion S. Shields visited Relief Society meeting at Bridgeland Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Walter and daughter, Lillian, Mrs. Ruby Walter and son, Lavor, of Salt Lake City, visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Capson. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbert, and Mrs. Chad Evans made a trip to Salt Lake City on Friday. Fri-day. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hair, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend week-end with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Loryn Ross. They also visited iii Roosevelt Roos-evelt with their other daughter and her family. Mrs. J. W. Anderson, of Grantsville, spent a few days recently visiting her sister. Mrs. OoTett Holgate (Grandma Hoi-gate) Hoi-gate) at the hqme of Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen. Arvil Larsen, of Thacker, Arizona, Ar-izona, visited Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen Lar-sen and Mr. and Mrs. James Mrs. Bonnie Z. DeGraff, of Heber, visited her parents. M;. and Mrs. John Zirker during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jensen. Henry Schaefermeyer, of Vernal; Ver-nal; called on Uintah State Bank depositors in this area during the week. Mrs. Minnie Diehl, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, visited at the Lynn Ross home Sunday ' evening. Other callers at the Ross home during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hartman, of Mt. Emmons. Em-mons. , Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert, Gil-bert, Mildred and Martha took Naomi and Gayle Gilbert back to school at Provo Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Fairbanks and family and Max Fairbanks were looking over their interests in-terests here last weekend. Milt Larsen, Mrs. Cynthia Larsen. Mrs. Leah Richens and Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen and Arvil Larsen motored to Meeker, Meek-er, Colorado Tuesday, returning Wednesday. Mrs. Cynthia Larsen returned home Tuesday after an extended visit-in Salt Lake City and Idaho. Ida-ho. Mrs. Leah Richens. of Salt Lake, came with her mother to spend a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Legrand Gilbert Gil-bert attended a family reunion in Daniels Canyon Sunday. |
