Show Onion Student Elected To State FE1A Office Miss Billie Reidhead, junior student at Union High School, was elected 2nd vice-president of the state FHA at the convention held in Salt Lake City last weekend. Eight Home Economics students, accompanied by their advisors, Myrtle Lambert and Lois Leavitt, attended the convention, main events for which were held at the Newhouse Hotel. Approximately 1000 girls from all over the state of Utah, interested in home-making, home-making, were in attendance. The Roosevelt Chapter presented present-ed the devotional program Saturday Satur-day morning and received high praise from state leaders for their outstanding performance. A fashion revue and meetings were on the agenda for Saturday afternoon. Carol Lynn Cook from Union was one of the models in the revue, displaying an atteractive cotton frock which she had made. ' i A tea was given Friday evening for the group ai the Home Economics Eco-nomics Department at the University Univer-sity of Utah. Girls attending the convention from Union were Earlene War-burton, War-burton, outgoing state 3rd vice-president; vice-president; Margaret Huber, Union FHA president; Gay Patry, vice-president; vice-president; Carol Memmott, secretary; sec-retary; Diane Nelson, treasurer-Pat treasurer-Pat Gines, song leader; Billie Reidhead, Reid-head, historian; and Carol Lynn Cook, model. |
