Show DMDGELAND Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee HOME ON FURLOUGH Sgt. Ray Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor, arrived home Thursday from an Army camp in Texas. Sgt. Taylor recently returned re-turned to the States after spending spend-ing two years in Korea with the paratroops. After a month's furlough, fur-lough, he will return to Fort Bragg to enter a helicopter school. He has re-enlisted in the Army for three years, having spent the past four years in the armed forces. For the first time in 11 years the Taylor brothers, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor, were able to get together for a home-coming. They were all together Sunday Sun-day at the home of their parents. They are Howard and Max, of Salt Lake City, Glade, of Craig, Colorado, and Ray, who is recent-1 ly from the Army in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walters returned re-turned from a trip to California on Friday. While they were gone they visited relatives at El Monte and many of Joe's friends he made during his mission in California. They visited with friends in Arizona Ari-zona also. After spending the weekend here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters, they went to Salt Lake where Joe has employment. ' Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Walters and family, of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wright and children chil-dren of Utahn, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walters. ' Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald were in Salt Lake City during the week to attend a Farmers' Union meeting. Bishop and Mrs. Carl Van Tas-sell Tas-sell and children went to Mt. Emmons Em-mons Thursday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Tassell spent a few days during the week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Beal, formerly for-merly of Bridgeland, now of American Fork, visited here Sunday Sun-day with Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beal and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Murphy. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Halladay and children, of Duchesne. Mrs. Florence Madsen and Mrs. Florence Poulson, of Duchesne, attended at-tended the Relief Society special meeting Sunday evening. Bertie Lisonbee spent the weekend week-end at Roosevelt as a guest of La Jean McKenna. She attended the basketball game at Rangely, Colo. Saturday evening and stake conference con-ference at Roosevelt, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald and family attended the basketball game between Uintah and Union at Rangely, Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beal and daughters, Marsha and Karren, were Salt Lake visitors Friday and Saturday. Rulon Liddell returned to his home here after finishing a course in welding at a vocational school at Provo. He was accompanied home by the following friends who were Sunday dinner guests at his home:Valeen Malen, Carol Condon, Con-don, Scott Johnson and Jack Gat-tiger, Gat-tiger, all of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Liddell, of Roosevelt, were Sunday visitors at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Liddell. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lisonbee, of Bluebell, were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee. Saturday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith were: Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Abplanalp and Mr. and Mrs. William Abplanalp Abplan-alp of Utahn. Visitors over the weekend at the Alma Smith home were: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith and children chil-dren of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith and children and Walter Smith of Salt Lake City. MUST HAVE OPERATION Little Amy Lou Clayburn, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clayburn, is seriously ill at Provo. i Amy Lou has been ill since December De-cember and only recently it was found that she will have to undergo under-go a major operation. Her mother and grandfather, J. R. Clayburn, are remaining in Provo to be near her. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clayburn went to Salt Lake and Provo over the weekend.. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baise, of Salt Lake, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clive Sprouse. Judy Halladay was a weekend guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shephard. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady, of Salt Lake City, visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady and at Tabiona with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wagstaff over the weekend. JaNae Liddell was a Saturday overnight guest of - her grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Liddell of Roosevelt. ATTEND CLUB MEETING Those from Bridgeland attending attend-ing the Farmerette Club at Arcadia Ar-cadia ward house Monday evening eve-ning were: Hazel Walters, Christine Chris-tine Fitzgerald, Edith Brady, Elva Lisonbee, Lois Stansfield, Joan Shephard, Alice Beal, Ethel Taylor, Tay-lor, Donna and Lilly Mae Clayburn, Clay-burn, Helen and Clista Neilsen. The evening was spent making pictures. Hostesses for the evening eve-ning were: Golda Jensen, Nancy Gilbert and Grace Larsen. A lovely love-ly dessert luncheon was served to the large crowd attending. |
