Show Boys Advanced In Sacrament meeting Sunday the following boys' names were read and approved for advancement advance-ment in the Priesthood: Jerry Bird and Brent Hancock, advanced advanc-ed to teachers, and Laramie Bird was advanced for a priest. Guest speakers in Sacrament meeting on Sunday were Seminary Students from Altamont High School, Lucy and Elsie Bird of Bluebell and Jack Brotherson and Lyle Oman of Boneta. President Brotherson who is also from Boneta was a speaker. COTTAGE MEETING A cottage meeting was held on Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Goodrich. The speakers were Kent Remington, Garth Remington and Slade Mathews. Ma-thews. Those present were Bishop Bish-op James Bird, William O. Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Remington, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Goodrich, Mrs. Garda Seeley, Dal Seeley, Slade Mathews, Phil Mathews, Garth Remington, Kent Remington, Bob Goodrich, Jay Goodrich, Ralph Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray, Mur-ray, Owena Goodrich, Ann Good-- Good-- rich and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Goodrich. Good-rich. Following the meeting light refreshments were served by Mrs. Owen Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich and Mrs. Alice Mathews visited Sunday in Bonanza with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston of Roosevelt visited Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell atended the Farewell Testimonial for their son-in-law, Val Timothy, at Roosevelt Sunday evening. His wife is the former Lucy Powell and they have two small daughters. daugh-ters. Lucy will remain in Roosevelt Roose-velt where she has employment , while her husband is away. PINK-BLUE SHOWER A "Pink and Blue" shower was held Thursday afternoon at the Ward chapel forMrs. Bernice At-wood. At-wood. Those from out of town attending were Mrs. Ed Miles and Mrs. Len Wall of Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, Mrs. Marva Fenn of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, and Mrs. Helen Mitchell of Uplaco. A lovely lunch was served by the Primary officers. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Allred have received word that their son Bert Allred of Myton is undergoing a seVies of operations in a Salt Lake City hospital. Doug Allred, another an-other son, also of Myton, who has been in a Salt Lake hospital, following fol-lowing a serious operation, is now at his home in Myton, getting along fairly well. Both boys are former residents of Bluebell and their many friends here wish them a speedy recovery. Mrs. Florence Adams and Mrs. Alice Labrum of Roosevelt visited one day last week with their sister and daughter, Mrs. Essie Lambert. |
