Show This Week's RECIPE . . . You will love the following fruit cocktail cake, which is a very nutritious dessert and delicious de-licious for your family or a party. Mrs Richard Adams submitted sub-mitted the recipe. FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE One large can Fruit Cocktail drained overnight. (This is im-portan, im-portan, otherwise there is too much liquid). Combine in sifter: 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 14 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda Then: Sift into bowl. Add 2 well-beaten well-beaten eggs, and drained cocktail. Mix well. Pour into 8 x 12 greased pan. Sprinkle top with y2 cup brown sugar and y2 cup chooped nuts. Bake one hour in pre-heated oven at 300 degrees. |
