They spent Father's Day here and returned to Richfieid on Tuesday. Hayda Marie spent one night with Pam Harsmton and another with Kay Labrum. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miller of San Angelo, Texas, are visiting with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Huish made a two day business trip to Salt Lake City this week." Mirl Jennings has been ill and in the Roosevelt Hospital for the past few days. Mr., and Mrs. Bennie Schmeitt and family left Friday morning for a vacation in California. They will visit the Howard Harrisons in Long Beach while there. Mr. and' Mrs. C. Dennis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Giggey of Salt Lake City. Allen Swenson accompanied his father on a camping trip in the Willow Creek area. Mr. Swenson was there on business. They spent three days there. Mrs.. Marion Bowman accompanied accomp-anied the dancers from Roosevelt Third ward to Salt Lake City. She returned home Monday morning, morn-ing, i Mrs. Elmo Nelson and daughter, daugh-ter, Pam, are visiting at the home of Mrs. Homer P. Edwards. They came to attend the testimonial held Sunday evening in the stake house for Mrs. Edwards and to spend some time with her prior to heT departure for the California Cali-fornia Mission. Emily Wilkerson was a Salt Lake visitor the past week. Mrs. Burr Eldredge, Lloyd and Michelene returned home Sunday night after having spent five weeks visiting in Shrewbury, Mass, Mrs. Eld'redge reports a wonderful time visiting with her parents and family there. Mrs. Zelma Bearrdall, Spring-ville, Spring-ville, and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Pearce, Salt Lake City, are visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson. Miss Linda Rosecrans is visiting visit-ing this week with Miss Sheri Fieldstead and friends. Linda is a former resident of Roosevelt and is now living in Bountiful. SUFFERS BURNS Verl Gary Wilkerson, 10, son of Mr. and Mrs David Wilkerson Roosevelt, suffered second degree burns on his right leg Tuesday morning when he dropped a match into a bucket containing a small amount of gasoline.. His brother, Devere, extinguished ths fire. Mrs Jack . Harmston and tvo children are leaving this week to visit with her parents in Reading, Pa. They plan to stay one month. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. McLea are pleased to announce the birth of a granddaughter May 28. Proud parents are Lt, and Mrs. Jack McClea of Winslow, Washington. The Misses Eva and Essie Sprouse arrived . Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Gutzman attended MIA conference in Salt Lake and will spend the next week working in the Genealogical Research Re-search offices. They are visiting at the home of Mrs. Nora Cook while there. Mrs.. Paul. Murphy atended MIA conference in Salt Lake Thursday, Friday and Saturday She left by bus (Saturday night for Eugene, Oregon where she will attend a workshop on family finance which will be conducted at the University of Oregon. Mrs. Murphy is attending the workshop on a scholarship. . The workshop will last until July 13 at which time Mr.. Murphy and family will meet her at Eugene and continue on for a two weeks vacation. Mrs. Lon Logan, Ft. Duchesne was re-elected treasurer of 'the Business and Professional Women of Utah, at the annual convention held June 15 16 and' 17 in Logan The convention was held at the Union Building on the USAC campus. cam-pus. Those from the Roosevelt club attending were Mrs. Lawrell Jensen, Mrs. Fran Harrison, Mrs. Anne Dilworth and Mrs. Logan. Mr and Mrs. Hollis Hullingei and family were Salt Lake City visitors Monday and Tuesday Lynn Dye took his Sunday School class swimming Tuesday afternoon. GarY Swenson spent the weekend week-end in Springville visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Zelma Beard-all. Beard-all. Mrs. Alice Lublin accompanied Mrs. Paul Murphy to Salt Lake Thursday Mrs. Lublin went for medical attention, she returns home Saturday. Mrs. Jack Eichelberg and children, chil-dren, Jackie Guy and Gloria Ann of Los Angeles. California visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burton. Gloria Ann celebrated her sixth birthday while here Mr. Eichelberg arrived Saturday and will accompany them home. Mr. Burton came from his work at Woodruff to visit with his daughter and grandchildren. grandchil-dren. He returned Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Holland of Honolulu. They report an enjoyable time. Mr., and Mrs. Lee Allred left Friday for a vacation trip in Utah and Idaho. They attended the Dance Festival in Salt Lake Saturday Sat-urday night. Mrs. Clem .Labrum and daughter, daugh-ter, Kaye, spent Friday and Saturday Satur-day in Salt Lake, where Kaye had gone for dental attention. They were accompanied by Rose Marie Cook and Billie Nelson. Mrs. Joe Malnar of Neola, returned re-turned to her home this week after having undergone a major operation opera-tion in the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs Malnar reports she is feeling fine. Louis Laris was pleasantly surprised sur-prised Saturady when Mr. and Mrs. and John Kanas and family of Denver, Colorado, called on him. Mr. Kanas is a nephew of Mr. Laris and is a former resident resi-dent of Roosevelt; They were en-route en-route to Portland, Oregon to visit with friends and relatives. |
