Show Utah State Fair Opens Saturday for Full Wee!: Utah's 1954 State Fair and Industrial Exposition will bring new focus to the state's great industrial advancement, its ag ricultural progress and to the future potential for its natural natur-al resources when it opens its gates to the public on Sept. 18. And never before in the history his-tory of the state has a Fair had so many educational opportunities op-portunities to offer to the thousands thou-sands of men, women and children chil-dren who enter its gates and tour its great show area, according ac-cording to J. A. Theobald, secretary-manager. Exhibits geared to the theme of this year's exposition "What. Makes Utah Atoms Click," will give Fair visitors a graphic view of what Utah produces and the activities within its borders. A cross section of horticulture horticul-ture and agriculture in the state will be presented in special spe-cial exhibits set up on the State airgrounds by 24 different differ-ent counties. Visitors will be able to view the state's finest flowers presented pre-sented in four different flower shows, species of fish and wildlife wild-life that abound in Utah and the western area, outstanding works of Utah artists, hundreds of interesting hobby items, some of the best products of the (Continued On Back Page) Utah Fair ... i (Continued from Page 1) I kitchen, sewing room and the home and the achievements of i the state's younger citizens in I 4-H and Future armer of America Amer-ica enterprises. There will be exhibits of the West's finest horses, cattle, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits, pigeons, and other products of the farm. A natural resources exhibit will feature a real underground mine, in full operation, modern mod-ern mining equipment and atomic energy materials. Millions of dollars in material and equipment will be present- j ed in other exhibits, in the Industrial In-dustrial Art Building, the huge industrial show, "Utah at Work," Mechanical Arts pre-features pre-features of the Fair.
