Show Emergency March Of Dimes Sets Underway The Emergency March of j Dimes throughout Duchesne County got underway last Thursday night with an attempt to contact every home in the county, reported co-chairmen, Mr. and Mrs. Anthon B. Chris-tensen. Chris-tensen. An attempt is toeing made at the present time to contact numerous homes which were 1 not contacted last Thursday. However, it will toe appreciated if those wishing to contribute would send their contributions to the chairmen if they haven't been contacted. The generous contributions made thus far are . very much appreciated, as the polio emergency emer-gency need is very great, at this time. Several new cases in the county are toeing helped by the Chapter, as well as several old ones. The chairmen again report that no case has ever been refused aid in the county, and will not be refused as long i as funds are available. An appeal is toeing made to I the city and community chair- i men to send in their returns immediately, im-mediately, or as soon as all contributions have been made. Unofficial returns are as follows: fol-lows: Roosevelt ward area, Verlaine Swenson, $46.71; Second Sec-ond ward area, Ruby Allred, $25.00; Third ward area, Ellen Rawlings, $47.16; Fourth ward area, Dora Curry and Kathy Taylor. $70.46, making a total of $189.33. Duchesne, under the chairmanship chair-manship of Josephine Beebe, contributed $125.87; and Tab- iona, $25.00. The business establishments were not and will not be contacted, con-tacted, announced the co-chairmen. |
