Show POSTPONES QUILTING The Relief Society postponed its quilting from Sept. 14 to Sept. 21. All ladies of the ward are invited. It is to begin about 10 a.m. Sunday evening' Mr. and Mrs. Keith Duke and Mrs. Helen Odekirk visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup. Mrs. Odekirk entertained the group with pictures taken during her mission to the Hawaiian Islands. The visitors remained overnight. Sonny Denver is working on j the Manila road out of Vernal I for contractors Reed & Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Elwoo'd Foote and two children visited with their folks in Provo last weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs. James B. Lemon, Lem-on, of Ioka, were houseguests from Thursday to Monday of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman. Mr. and Mrs. George Funk, of Myton, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Mecham and daughter, Shirley, visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust and family. Paul and Marilyn Lucas have spent 3 weeks with their grandparents. grand-parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Perkins. Per-kins. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lucas Lu-cas came from Layton, Sunday, to take their children home. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Thackcr are in Salt Lake, where Mr. Thacker is seeking . work. Mr. and Mrs. LaVear Timothy Timo-thy were in Sunset from Thursday Thurs-day to' Sunday of last week visiting vis-iting Mr. and Mrs. Heber Timothy. Pete Wall was in Salt Lake last Sunday and Monday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Young and son, Perry, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young and family fam-ily attended a family reunion in Spanish Fork last Sunday, with Lyle Young's two brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Young of Draper and Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Young of Provo. Evan Hansen was in Salt Lake Friday and Saturday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Snyder, of Pocatello, Idaho, yisited with Mrs. Mary Snyder Friday and Saturday of last week. They were on their way to' Cornell University in New York, where Mr. Snyder is teaching some classes while working on his Doctorate in History. He expects ex-pects to be there for 2 more years. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyde Beebe (nee Mary Perkins) of Grants-ville Grants-ville have a new baby girl, Marjorie Gean, born Aug. 23. This is their first child. Mrs. Ben Perkins- spent a week in Grantsville with the new mother, moth-er, then had her in her home in Mt. Emmons for a week. Mrs. Pete Wall will report to a Salt Lake hospital next week where she will undergo surgery for a neck ailment that has been under treatment for some time. Bob Hill and another worker work-er from Altamont roomed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hansen Han-sen for two weeks. Four of the bricklayers working at Altamont Al-tamont have moved into One of the Hansen apartments. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen have purchased the Harper place in Mt. Emmons. Hershel Iorg has purchased a new Ford truck. |
