Show Get Gleaner Pins Sherral Ames and Ola Bird were awarded their Gleaner pins in Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark took their son. Cliff, to Salt Lake City, Monday, where he will enter vocational school for the winter. Lowell Leavitt, of Bonanza, spent the weekend in Altonah at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fentori Powell. Marilyn Young spent from Monday to Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell in Provo. She was accompanied by Glena Iorg!, of Altamont. They returned return-ed home with Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Iorg, Saturday. Guests at the home of Mrs. Elva Snyder over the weekend were Mrs. Mable Stevenson, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potts and daughters, of Upalco; Ted Snyder, of Tooele, and Mrs. Ethel Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Clenty Ames, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jessen attended attend-ed the funeral of the little Whitehead boy in Bluebell, on Monday. The Primary officers gave a party Monday afternoon. Games, dancing and a wiener roast were enjoyed by the children. Mrs. Linford Maxfield spent a few days visiting in Salt Lake City during the week. Those attending the funeral of Mrs. Edith Allred in Vernal, Saturday, from Altonah were: Bishop' J. Arthur Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rochel, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Palm, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dru Allred and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lambert, Lam-bert, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark and Delbert Shiner. Bishop Bish-op Timothy was one of the speakers. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Murray and family made a trip to Salt Lake City, Wednesday, where their daughter, Vickie, received dental care. Mrs. Linford Maxfield Max-field returned with them. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell were Mr. and Mrs. Ivin Karren and daughter and Charley Timothy, of Bonanza; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Tallerico, of Dragerton; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, Mr. and Mrs. James Clark and family and Miss Ann Watkins. of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. Dalewood Miller, of Orangeville. Word was received, by relatives rela-tives here of the birth of a baby girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Morris Henery, Sept. 10th in the Vernal Hospital. Mrs. Henery Hen-ery is the former Ruth Allred, of Altonah. Mrs. Dru Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred went to Vernal, Friday, to visit the new baby. |
