Show Uintah Basin To Have Full-Time Driver Tester Increased activity and population popula-tion in the Uintah Basin area have caused the driver license division of the Utah Public Safety Department to employ a full-time examiner there. Now working full time for the driver license division is Bert Hatch, Vernal, Jay C. Newman, state commissioner of public safety, announced. Previously a single employee devoted his time part to the State Tax Commission and part to the driver license division. Now the Tax Commission and the drivers license division each employ a full-time representative representa-tive in the Basin.. Mr. Hatch will share office space with the Tax Commission representative in the Uintah County Courthouse, Vernal. He will be in Roosevelt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday and in Duchesne from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every other Thursday beginning Sept. 16. He will receive applications for operators' and chauffeurs' licenses and give examinations in Vernal Monday. Wednesday Friday and Saturday of each week, except holidays, and every other Thursday. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m daily and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturdays. |
