Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Phone 62062 School Starts School commenced on Sept. 7 with a corps of twelve teachers teach-ers including the principal. In the school kitchen are Mrs. Agnes Ag-nes Walker, of Lapoint.... Reva Hall, Ellen Bracken and Geo. Allred, one of the bus drivers. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Broder-ick Broder-ick and children, of Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen recently. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mann and daughter, Gayle, of Los Angeles, An-geles, have been visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Al-ton Johnson. Mrs. Mann is a sisters of the Johnsons. Omitted last week was the report that the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Todd was blessed in Fast meeting, Sept. 5 and given the name of Craig. Allen Gines went to Salt Lake City last week to enroll at a vocational school. His mother, Mrs. Ned Gines and sister, Patsy, accompanied him to Salt Lake City, where they visited with friends and relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Gneitting and small son, of Lewiston, Ida. were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger last week. Mary Hullinger, who has spent the summer in Idaho, returned with them to enroll at Union High School. Rosemary Ashley, who graduated grad-uated from the 8th grade at Alterra, has gone to Ogden to live with her mother this coming com-ing school year. Quite a numiber from the Ballard ward were donors of blood at Roosevelt last week. Delmar Gardner is very happy hap-py over the arrival of his first grandchild, the baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Arrowchis. The baby was born at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Hospital last week. Gary Gardner, accompanied I by his mother, Mrs. Earl Gardner, Gard-ner, Mrs. Boyd Winn, Mrs. ' El-bie El-bie Winn and Miss Janice Anderton An-derton made a trip to Salt Lake City one day last week, returning return-ing the same day. Gerald Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hatch, has gone to Cedar City to enroll at the Branch Agriculture College. Gerald was a graduate at Union Un-ion High last year. Bernard Larsen was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital the first of last week, where he was operated on for appendicitis. He returned to his home on Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Mary (Grandma) Collins, who has spent several weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Collins in Salt Lake City, has returned to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts. Mr. and Mrs. DeLos Searle, who spent the summer in Montana, Mon-tana, is now in the trailer house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mar Ross. Earl Taylor, who has been staying in Roosevelt for a while is not at the home of Bishop Golden Collins. Mrs. Ruth Hunter, of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, visited at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sprouse. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jepp-son Jepp-son spent the weekend at Pay-son, Pay-son, visiting relatives. Mrs. Ralph McMullin held a party for the Lark class in Primary Friday afternoon. The girls completed their year's work. Refreshments were served ser-ved to JoAnn Page, Loraine Johnson, Carol Rasmussen and Fern Jenkins. All present had an enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anderson, now of Carbon County, have been recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson. Ander-son. The young couple recently returned from Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Zane Asay made a trip to Price recently. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Goff, of Sandy, have been visiting with friends in the Basin recently. They were former residents of Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Slolla, of Salt Lake City, came out Sunday. Sun-day. Sept. 5, to get their two children, who have been visiting visit-ing their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric A. Stolla. |
