Show Food & Fun Party Enjoyed By MIA Groups A "Food & Fun Party" was enjoyed Tuesday evening by the Junior Gleaners and Junior M-of M-of the Myton Ward, under the direction of Mrs. Gwen Burgess, Junior Gleaner leader. They met at the L.D.S. Ward Chapel for the opening assembly arid at class time the group of 17 young folks went to the Ross Harmon home where .Shirley Harmon, as hostess, entertained with outdoor games and served a light appetizer of juice and crackers. The next stop was at the Willard Smith home where Darlene Smith was hostess serving serv-ing main course of fried chicken, chick-en, salad, etc. The jolly crowd then traveled to the ranch of Gareth Anderson where Beverly Bev-erly Anderson served cake and chocolate and games were enjoyed en-joyed till a late hour. Mr. and Mrs. Don Felter arrived ar-rived Saturday from Pasco, Washington where Mr. Felter is employed. They will attend to their property interests here and visit relatives and friends. FRIDAY BRIDGE Mrs. Rex Lamb was hostess to members of the Friday Bridge Club at her ranch home Friday afternoon. Present were Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mrs. Joseph Woolf, Mrs. Ted Thomas and Mrs. Homer Robinson. Refreshments Re-freshments were served and the high score prize awarded to Mrs. Lott. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lott and family and Mrs. Bliss Lott returned re-turned Friday from a short trip to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Sims and - children, Mack. Carter, Tommie and Christina, who were guest3 of the A. M. Todd family last week, left Saturday for their home in Sacramento, California. Mr. and Mrs. George Suchey were week-end visitors at the heme of Mrs. Suchey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart. They were married here on June 11 and were returning from their honeymoon enroute to Salt Lake City where the bride will complete com-plete her training in the Holy Cross Hospital. She will graduate grad-uate next Thursday, June 25 and will remain in training till September. They will then maks their home in Denver, Colorado where Mr. Suchey is employed. DINNER PARTY Miss Alice Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd were joined Thursday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ferron and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ferron, of Roosevelt, in a community dinner at the home of Miss Todd. The event was complimentary to Mr. and Mrs. Allan Sims, of Sacramento, Calif., who were guests last week at the Todd homes. BRIDGE FOLLOWS LIONS MEETING - While the Lions Club was m session Wednesday evening, Mrs. Homer Robinson invited the ladies for an evening of bridge, to be joined by the men later 1 in the evening. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Miss Alice Todd and Alan Sims. Refreshments were served at the close of the evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Ray Thompson returned last week from Wyoming where she was called by the illness of her daughter, Mrs. Orin Will-son. Will-son. She reports Mrs. Willson is steadily improving. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson enjoyed a visit Sunday from their son, Bill, who was enroute home and was joined by his wife and family who' came from Salt Lake City to meet him. They spent Father's Day here and left Sunday evening for Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Schuckers and Jimmy and Sally returned home Saturday from a two-week's two-week's Vacation trip to Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania and other Eastern points. Mr and Mrs. Emery Neilson left Thursday for Salt Lake City where Mrs. Neilson entered enter-ed the L.D.S. hospital to undergo under-go surgery. Their daughter Mrs. Arlene Hardinger and two sons who have been visiting here, took them to Salt Lake City and then continued on to their home in Denver, Colorado. Douglas Workman came from Layton,Utah Sunday to visit his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson. Mrs. R. C. Walker and her daughter Jean came from Salt Lake City Sunday to spend Father's Day with Mr. Walker, who is employed by the Reynolds Reyn-olds Construction Company on contract for the Highway 40 from Myton to Bridgeland. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James ' Dalgleish Sunday, Father's Day, were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart of Duchesne Duch-esne and Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Walker and Miss Jean Todd of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd entertained en-tertained at a Father's Day dinner din-ner with Mr. Todd's father. A. M. Todd and Miss Alice Todd and other members of the Fred Todd family present. CONDUCTS SERVICES Reverend J. Franklin Robinson Robin-son conducted services at the Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon. af-ternoon. Special vocal selections were rendered by the Lundgren sisters accompanied by their mother. Mrs. Emil Munz, Mr. and Mrs. Lundgren and five daughters of Duchesne visited Myton Sunday. Sun-day. While here they attended services at the Presbyterian church. Charles Meranda of American Fork was a Myton business visitor vis-itor Saturday. |
