Show FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD AT RANDLETT Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, at 10 a.m. hi the Randlett Episcopal church for Konorah Nanavonic, who died June 22. Rev. Joseph Hog-ben, Hog-ben, of Whiterocks, will conduct con-duct the services, and burial i will be under the direction of the Dillman Mortuary. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Preece and family, of Nephi, spent Father's Day with Mr. Preece's parents, Mr and Mrs. Wm. Preece. Home from a California visit is Mrs. Henry Van Doorne, who is staying with her parents while her husband is overseas. House guests at the Paul Wil-kins Wil-kins home last week were their sons and daughters-in-law Lt. jg. and Mrs. Kirk Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Wilkins and son, Paul C, and Mrs. Wilkins' mother, Mrs. Etta Odekirk, of Salt Lake. Lt. Wilkins just returned I from Korean duty on the aircraft air-craft carrier, the Oriskany. He has been in Korea since October 1952, and has left for San Diego to receive a new assignment. Lt. Col. Randall Felter and children, Allen and Marilyn left Wednesday for El Paso, Texas, after enjoying a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Felter, of Myton. Arriving last Saturday to' visit vis-it at the Felter home were another an-other son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Don Felter, of Pasco, Washington. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Monday and Tuesday were Mrs. Ash-ton's Ash-ton's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Bryce and family, of San Diego. They also visited Mrs. Bryce's mother, Mrs. Ben Wilson. Mrs. LaVaur Johnston, of Long Beach, is here visiting her sister, Mrs. Nettie Reynolds. She will also visit with relatives in Vernal. Mr. and Mrs J. Harold Ei-dredge Ei-dredge and daughter, Renae, attended at-tended the farewell testimonial for Miss Eva Eldredge in Salt Lake City last Sunday. She left Wednesday to fulfill an LDS mission to the New England States. Bishop and Mrs. R. V. Larson, Lar-son, of the Roosevelt LDS ward and Larry Wilson were present I for the program. Renae gave a reading, accompanied by Mrs. Larson, and Larry played a piano solo. Mrs. Orba Pierce, of California, Eva's sister, was also al-so present. Mr. and Mrs. Al Barlow, nee LaVaur Reynolds, have been visiting with Mrs. Barlow's mother, Mrs. Nettie Reynolds, and plan to leave to make their home in San, Francisco. Visitors at the Marion Bowman Bow-man residence last Saturday were Mr. Bowman's bother, Mrs. Eva Bowman, and his sister, sis-ter, Miss Lorraine Bowman, of Salt Lake City. Dearwyn and Deanna Bowman accompanied them back to Salt Lake, planning plan-ning to return with their parents par-ents Thursday, who spent Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday in the capitol city. Kent Memmott and his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. C. A. Memmott, returned to Roosevelt last Saturday Sat-urday with the Cliff Memmotts. who visited in Price and Helper a few days. Kent had been visiting vis-iting there with relatives for three weeks. Miss Peggy Oldroyd, Standard Stand-ard employee, left last Friday for Salt Lake City to attend Henagers Business College for six weeks, planning to return to her work here when she completes com-pletes the quick business course Miss LaRue Grove flew by plane to Riverton, Wyoming last Friday to vacation for several days. Arriving Sunday to' spend a few weeks with Miss Grove was Miss Peggy Joe Pastore, of Boulder, Colorado. STEAK FRY HONORS VISITORS MONDAY Commander and Mrs. L. S. Orser, who are visiting here, were the honored guests at a steak fry Monday night, with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harmston and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett as co-hosts. Present besides the honorees and hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Schmiett, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Huish, and Mr. and Mrs. George Miller. Visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson, last weekend was their daughter, Glenda, who is working at the beauty shop at Auerbach's in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lorin Alexander and her mother, Mrs. Milt Nickell, were Salt Lake City visitors Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday. Clyde Walquist and family, of Price, visited briefly with his mother in Roosevelt this week enroute to Vernal, where he has been transferred as manager of the Safeway Store. Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison were Roosevelt visitors at the Howard Harrison home last weekend, returning to Salt Lake Tuesday. Or. Harry Berman, eye, ear, jose and throat specialist, vill be al the Hanson Hotel in Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Friday, June 26. Mrs. Paul Stringham was rushed to the St. Marks Hospital Hospit-al Monday afternoon for medical medi-cal treatment. Her condition has improved and she is expected home tomorrow. Registering for the summer school session last week at the BYU were Ardella Mitchell, Virgie Murphy and Veda Jensen, Jen-sen, of Roosevelt, and Zora and Naomi Gardner from Neola. Mr and Mrs. Muse Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Max Buxdick-returned Buxdick-returned June 13 from a three-week three-week vacation trip to California, Califor-nia, where they visited with friends and relatives. PFC Roger McAfee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hancock, left Sunday morning for Waco, Texas, Tex-as, where he will be stationed, after spending a week with his family. He has been in the service ser-vice nearly four months. |
