Show Four Uernal Lien flabfccd ?zr Stealing Gasoline Four young men from Vernal were handed a $50.00 fine and 30 days after being found guilty guil-ty of stealing gas from a fleet of trucks owned by Eugene Harmston, by Justice of the Peace John Baumgaertel. Trial was held Monday morning. Arrested Sunday night at about 11:30 by local police officers of-ficers were Glen Massey, 20; I James Ramsey, 24; Earl Kidd, '20, and Darrell Gilleson, 19, all of whom gave their addresses addres-ses as Vernal. It was reported that Mr. Ramsey had spent four years in the Utah State Penitentiary. All four youths who entered pleas of guilty, have been committed to the Roosevelt City jail where they will serve the 30-day term. Police Officer Roe McDonald discovered the quartet in the , act of taking gas, but was unable un-able to make the arrest as they took off for Vernal in a car. He gave chase, .but they gave him th slip. A radio message from McDonald , was picked up by Sammy Hatch, of the highway I patrol at Vernal, and he made the arrest. |
