Show 'Glamour9 Really Implied At j FH A Fashion Show The "Glint of Glamour" Fashion Fa-shion Show held at the Union High School Wednesday evening, eve-ning, April 2, under the sponsorship spon-sorship of the F H A Club, with Myrtle Lambert advisor, was all its name implies Glamour: Eighty girls participated in the revue, modeling the clothes they had made in their sewing classes this year. These clothes included sun suits, party dresses, school dresses, dressy dresses, pedal pushers, shorts, pajamas, housecoats, swing skirts, coats, jackets, etc., etc. The touch of originality and the little surprises introduced by the models kept the audience interested from start to finish with clever dances, pantomimes, etc., featuring various clothes moods. Miss Renae Eldredge, Glamour Glam-our Girl, won a radio contest, sponsored by Glamour magazine, maga-zine, which gave to her $1000 worth of clothes which the girls modeled. They were delivered de-livered to her 'boxes and boxes of clothes. At the climax of the show she had to turn down a date for a party Because She Didn't Have a Thing to Wear! Comments from the larse audience attending the show were most favorable and complimentary, compli-mentary, and many stated that they could hardly believe that some of the articles of clothing had been made by the gi-ls because be-cause of the professional touch. Mrs. Lambert, their advisor, is deserving of much praise for the accomplishments in her Home Economics department this year. |
