Show ARCADIA Mrs. Elsie Bird Attends Wedding In Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McKenna attended the wedding of Mrs. McKenna's brother, Arlo Rich-ens Rich-ens and Miss Iola Moon. Arlo is the son of Henry Richens, of Arcadia, and Mrs., William Logan, Lo-gan, of Salt Lake. They were married in Salt Lake Thursday. The community wishes them every happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate, Marion Ross and Cecelia Gilbert attended conference in Salt Lake last weekend. Charles Turpening and Hy-rum Hy-rum Capson made a business trip to Salt Lake Sunday, returning re-turning Monday. R. S. Lusty transacted business busi-ness in Duchesne Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate and family have moved into the government-owned house recently recent-ly vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Nielson. Mrs. Elsie Bird, Mrs. Gladys Capson visited Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson. At last we are able to see the fields, and the roads are getting dusty, except where the culverts are washed out. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird received word that their son, Melvin, had arrived in Pearl Harbor where he will be stationed. sta-tioned. His family will join him about the middle of April. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross are driving a new Studebaker. Mrs. Gladys Capson and Mrs. Elsie Bird attended Primary conference at Salt Lake City Wednesday and Thursday. While there they visited Mr. and Mrs. Gus Solomonson and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Walters. They returned re-turned home Sunday. Mrs. Velma Riggs, of Nevada, is visiting at the homes of, her father, Henry Richens, of her sister, Mrs. Thelma McKenna, and of her brother, John Richens. Rich-ens. She also visited Mr. and Mrs. Afton Richens at Myton. The following students attended at-tended the Commercial and Speech contests at Price Monday: Mon-day: Ronald Zirker, Pauline Larsen, Merlynn and Donna Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen are smiling over the birth of a new grandchild, a boy born to Mr. and Mrs, Ray Scholes, of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. This is the Larsen's third grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird and girls visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson at Myton. |
