Show By Beliie Mower j Wedding Dance j Honors Newly weds A wedding dance and recep-! tion were held Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Gail Loranger, who were married Sept. 18 in Duchesne. Tal Wardle's orchestra orches-tra furnished the music. A good time was had by all who attended. at-tended. The newlyweds received many beautiful and useful things. FAREWELL PARTY The Mutual gave Gardell Powell a farewell party Wednesday Wed-nesday night. He entered the service on Tuesday, October 13. Those who attended the party enjoyed dancing, and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Billy Williamson, of Vernal, spent Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday visiting with his sister and brother-in-law.'Mr. and Mrs. Duane Boren. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Crosby and family, of Garfield, visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Maurel Taylor and family. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Max-field Max-field and family, of Altonah, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Powell and family. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown, ward and stake dance directors, have been attending Dance Institute, In-stitute, held each Wednesday evening in Roosevelt. Mrs. Arvil Brown and sons, Allen, Robert and Ernest, visited visit-ed in Neola Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Bry Roberts and daughter, Mary Jane, of Pleasant Grove, visited friends and relatives in Montwel, Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday. They are former residents of Montwel. Mrs. Arvil Brown and sons, Allen, Ernest and Robert; Jerry Murillo and Mr. and Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Mower and daughter, Dianne, Di-anne, attended a party at Neola Sunday, put on by the Co-Pilots in Primary. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening were Gilbert Gil-bert McKenna, Bert Stoddard, high councilman; Dwayne Bracken Brack-en and Mr. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown went to Whiterocks, Monday evening to teach the Indians new dances. CONDUCTS ERA DRIVE The Mutual had its Era drive Monday night, at which the Mutual Mu-tual officers met at the church and divided up and went to the different homes to get the people's peo-ple's subscription to the Improvement Im-provement Era. Refreshments were enjoyed after everyone returned. |
