Show Mrs. Ethel Beebe Legion Groups Meet Together The American Legion and Auxiliary held their regular meetings in the Legion hall, Oct. 3. Sheila Evans, of Mt. Emmons, Girls' State representative, represen-tative, was a special guest of the Auxiliary. After the business busi-ness meetings they joined together to-gether in a social with refreshments refresh-ments being served. Members present were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McMillan, Mr. and Mrs. Max Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fieldsted, of Boneta, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Duns-more Duns-more and Clyde Lambert. Mr and Mrs. Robert Burson! announce the arrival of a baby born October 2 in the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Allred of Rangely brought Mrs. Ralph Allred home Friday night after she had visited with her family for some time. Albert Clark made a trip to Heber Monday to visit his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett, Sr. and grandson, Jack Gunnon of Murray were over ' night guests here recently. Jack Allred went to Salt Lake City, Friday to get his wife. Mrs. Allred has been in Salt Lake for a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rawley Thacker, who are recovering from injuries received in a car accident. Mrs. Thacker is in a Salt Lake hospital. Those from Altonah to accompany accom-pany the Altamont Sr. band to Salt Lake City over the weekend week-end were Mrs. Louis Reese and family, Mrs. Fenton Powell and son, Ronald, Donald Kolb, Cleo Clark, Georgia Morris, Doris and Bob Allred, Willard Bow- i j den, Florence . Weeks, Bonnie Ames, Carol Case, Corali Max-field, Max-field, Ernie Riley and Sharen Bird. Jerry Carroll, a student at the B.Y.U. in Provo, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy and family visited in Rangely, Colo. Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Berrett. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Max-field Max-field and family were recent visitors in Salt Lake City. They attended General Conference while there. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark returned re-turned this weekend from a two-weeks' visit in Vernal and Bonanza. Mrs. Harold Morris and son, Clark, and LaVar Morris and daughter, Marie, went to Salt Lake City, Sunday, and brought Mrs. Morris' mother, Mrs. Jane ' Giggi, home with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ralphs returned re-turned home Oct. 6 from Long i Beach, Calif, with their daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Gladys Morrey, who has been seriously ill. She was much better when her parents left her. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames moved to Salt Lake City during the week to make their home. Mrs. Hardy Perkins and daughter went to Salt Lake City Thursday to attend Teachers Institute. In-stitute. STORK SHOWER A group of ladies surprised Mrs. Nada Murray at a stork shower at her home Wednesday night. Games and pie and ice cream were enjoyed by Mrs. Margaret Maxfield, Mrs. Edith Timothy, Mrs. Mary Powell, Mrs. Beth Jessen, Mrs. Eldora Mitchell, Mrs. Mary Riley, Mrs. Alora Kolb, Mrs. Marian Reese, Mrs. Twila Ralphs, Mrs. LaRue Fisher, Mrs. Norma Jessen, Mrs. Nadeen Berrett and the guest of honor. Mrs. Murray received many nice things. Mrs. Mary Bowden and son, Louie, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and family were dinner guests of Lionel Bowden in Myton, My-ton, Tuesday, to celebrate his 56th birthday anniversary. Mrs. Ty Kolb and Mrs. Marian Mar-ian Reese made a trip to Salt Lake City Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy Timo-thy and family, of Bonanza, spent the latter part of the week with Mrs. Timothy's mother, Mrs. Minnie Maxfield, and other oth-er relatives. Louis Reese, R.E.A. manager, left Wednesday on a business trip to Montana. |
