Show Bennett And Fort Duchesne Take Lead In Baseball BASIN LEAGUE Team Standings W L PCT. Fort Duchesne 3 0 1000 Bennett 3 0 1000 Roosevelt 2 1 667 Randlett 1 2 333 Myton 0 3 000 Montwel 0 3 000 It wasn't much of a' job for the hustling Fort Duchesne team to remove Roosevelt from the undefeated class last Saturday as the reservation nine ran the 1950 league winners all over the field to trounce them to the tune of 19-3. C. Denver, who holds down the keystone spot for the Fort, had a pretty fair day with the stick as he hit 3 singles, 1 double and a home run in 5 times at bat, to drive in 10 runs not bad for an afternoon. Dick Owen and Cheney labored lab-ored on the mound, and labor it was. The former started the game and pitched until the 7th inning, when Cheney came in. After walking four straight men, he, himself, took a walk right off the field, and Owen had to return and finish the job. Fourteen errors, 13 base-hits and 7 bases-on-balls tells the story of how the Fort nine made 19 runs. Roosevelt collected 7 hits off R. Burson and Sixkiller, but they were, so well scatjered, litle damage was done with them. No player got more than one hit. Bennett used three pitchers, L. Bolton, Blanchard and C. Bolton, each throwing three innings, to beat Montwel 13-3, and win their third straight contest and remain in a deadlock with Fort Duchesne. Du-chesne. B. Blanchard and Shaw were the pitchers for Montwel. After Saturday, there will be only one undefeated team Bennett Ben-nett or Fort Duchesne. At 2 p. m. on the Bennett field these two teams will square off at each other and when the game is over, the story will be different than today. Remainder Re-mainder of the schedule sends Roosevelt to Myton and Montwel Mont-wel to Randlett. Randlett beat Myton in the other game.
