Show Four Graduate At Wasatch From Basin Area Graduation exercises at Wasatch Wa-satch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, were held Monday morning, with four students from this area graduating with many honors and awards. Miss Joyce Jordan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Jordan, graduated cum laude and received re-ceived a scholarship award and medal and also a music award. Another graduate. Miss Yvonne Fretwell, daughter of Mrs. Irene Fretwell, received three short-hand awards and a music award. ' Gary Mullins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Mullins, was presented pre-sented with the service award chosen by the student body, and also received a scholarship award, an American history award, as well as several athletic ath-letic honors and awards. Miss Joan Griffin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Griffin, of Whiterocks, received a letter in girls' sports. John Ruppel, son of Wm. H. Ruppel, a freshman student, received re-ceived an award for band. Attending the commencement exercises were Mr. and Mrs. Jordan. Jor-dan. Mr. and Mrs. Mullins, Mrs. Fretwell, Mr. and Mrs. V. A. Bair, and Mr. Ruppel, Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marimon, Whiterocks; White-rocks; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sutteer and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Faulkner, Faulk-ner, of Ft. Dchesne. All have children attending the Academy. Also in attendance were Mrs. Jordan's sisters, Miss Bell Angus, An-gus, of Vernal, and Mrs. Lois Bryce, of Ogden. |
