Show Basin Pioneer Dies In Southern Utah Mr and Mrs. Wallace Woods Plumed Wednesday from Anti-nv Anti-nv Garfield county, where v were called by the illness i death of Mrs. Woods' mothers. moth-ers. Charlotte Ann Day Da-Its Da-Its She died August 11 at the ome of her son, A. J. Davis, l causes incident to age. Mrs. Davis was a pioneer of he Uintah Basin, coming here Irom Circleville in 1910 She ns born January 15. 1863, in soanish Fork, a daughter of, Thomas and Charlotte Clark 3sv. , ... . She spent her early life in CM Muddy, Nevada, Kanarra-rille Kanarra-rille and Salt Lake City. After the death of her invalid mother, the moved, with the family, to Circleville. being the sixth pi-nneer pi-nneer family in the town. She ns married, July 5, 1882, to Alexander Al-exander Davis, at Circleville, residing there until they came to he Uintah Basin in 1910. They lived here until 1917, when they rut to Antimony at the time I that vallev was settled. I She had one son in World I VJir I. 9 grandsons in World I WarH, and 4 grandsons and 1 .wiZ-fandson in the Korean raffict. Surviving her are four sons, foard Davis, of Circleville; A J. and Wilford Davis, of An-;wny: An-;wny: Earl Davis, of Rupert, &ho; two daughters, Mrs. Cath-"inp Cath-"inp Davis. Richfield, and Mrs. Sozella Woods, of My ton; 2 Lnthers, Ephraim Day. Circle-Joseph Circle-Joseph Day, Salt Lake City; 39 erandchildren; 46 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-irandchildren. Funeral services were held i Antimony, with burial in -e Circleville cemetery. |
