Show City Votes Wet Approves Water Bond At Tuesday Election The Citizens of Roosevelt were emphatic in their voting that the future of the city won't be stifled because of a lack of culinary water when they voted overwhelmingly in favor of a proposal to bond the city for $225,000 with which to expand and supplement their present water supply. At the bond election, qualified quali-fied voters and taxpayers of the City of Roosevelt voted on three 'propositions. No: 1 was to give the city authority to issue $65,000 in general obligation obliga-tion bonds; No. 2. approval of Ordinance 1951-A, which gives the city council the right to proceed pro-ceed with the construction and acquiring of the water; and No. 3 was to O.K. the issuance of $160,000 in water revenue bonds. Following is the way the people peo-ple voted on the three . propositions: propo-sitions: 1 Proposition Yes No ! No. 1 242 17 No. 2 251 13 No. 3 246 14 ! In district No. one, 112 votes jwere cast, and in district No. two, there were 152 who went to the polls.
